M Family Sneak Peek | Minneapolis St. Paul Family Photographer

This is the second year I have had the pleasure of photographing the annual M family portraits and this year they brought a little something special! Scroll down to see.:)

They are sweet, stylish, gorgeous and so much fun to be with—I am the luckiest gal in the world to get to hang out with such awesome people!

Miss J is friends with Kayla and quite simply one of the nicest girls I have ever met. And gorgeous??? Well, there’s no denying it….

Miss D (like her sister) is quite the soccer player and started playing goalie this year. Go, D!! And not to be outdone by J she is absolutely stunning.:)

And the whole clan… Gor-ge-ous family and the love they feel for each other just radiates when you’re around them. You can’t help but feel like your world is a little better just for having been with them.

Did you make it this far? Are you ready for the surprise they brought?

Ramsey!! Don’t you just want to scoop him up, put him in your pocket and take him home??

Thanks for another great session!!

M

Well, what can I say? It was been a whirlwind year for me and I feel so incredibly blessed and honored to have such wonderful clients! I can hardly believe it myself but my calendar is full through the end of the year. Truth be told, it was a tough decision to make. I would book a session every single day if I could, but the one thing I promised myself when I set out on this journey was that I would not compromise service to my clients nor would I put myself in a position to leave my family feeling neglected. It is definitely a fine line and I am learning to walk it every day. There are days I feel like I have it all under control and days when I feel like I’m failing miserably at both. Most of the time it’s a great balance between the two things I love the most and I go to bed feeling like my life couldn’t be much better.

Thank you everyone who has been a part of this wonderful year: those of you who have had sessions, have one scheduled, have contacted me, or who read my blog. By allowing me to be a part of your life you have blessed me and made my life that much better.

Keep an eye out for lots of sneak peeks in the next couple of months and for more information about spring sessions. I have some fun things planned and can’t wait to share them!

Take care-
Michelle

Nicole | Minneapolis St. Paul Senior Photographer

When Nicole’s mom and I were chatting about what type of look Nicole wanted for her senior pictures she mentioned that she wanted a more natural look and really wanted some shots in an open field with tall grasses. No problem, I thought! We’re in Minnesota–fields are everywhere! Unfortunately, most of those fields are on private property. I tried some metro parks and reserves but nothing had exactly what I was looking for. Everything was too manicured, too perfect. We wanted something more natural and rural. Then I remembered that my dad & his wife have some land. Lots of land. Land with fields and barns and utter awesomeness. They were kind enough to allow me to use it and it was perfection. The weather was beautiful, the light was delicious and Nicole? Nicole was a dream. She is obviously beautiful with those big blue eyes and perfect skin but she is also so sweet and up for anything! We traipsed through the fields, sat in the dirt, laid on the ground. My favorite conversation of the night went like this:

Me: Have you thought about what you want to do after you graduate?
N: I’m thinking of going to culinary school.
Me: Really? That’s cool! You like to cook, huh?
N: No, but I LOVE to eat!!

Yup, I adore this girl!

Normally I only show three or four images for a sneak peek but I simply could not narrow these down. I am loving the mix of the more traditional processing along with some that are more hazy and airy. It shows just how beautiful the light was.

Thank you, Nicole and Tracy for a super fun night! I cannot wait to edit the rest of your images!!

A’s Sneak Peek | Chanhassen Senior Photographer

Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU L family for being so flexible and working around this crazy Minnesota weather! Sometimes I think that having to reschedule because of weather is more disappointing to me than anyone. I think it was worth the wait, though….we ended up with an absolutely beautiful evening (despite all of the bug spray and mosquitoes) and had a great time exploring a new-to-me location. Enjoy your sneak peek!

I think this might be my favorite:

But then again, these also make me smile:

And it would be remiss of me to not show off her eyes. I could swim in all that blue!!

The same one in black & white because I love it both ways:

Thanks again for a great evening!
